Adopting an animal from our shelter is a unique experience. We are a small shelter in a growing community which allows us to make each adoption personal. Our staff will be able to give you information about the animal you are interested in adopting and may also be able to recommend animals that would fit into your lifestyle. Matching each animal to the appropriate home allows for a much smoother transition for both the animal and the adopter. We do require an application that must be approved prior to finalizing any adoption. Every animal is seen by a licensed veterinarian and fully vetted* before going to their new home. The adoption fee for dogs is $85.00. The adoption fee for cats is $50.00.
Our adoptable animals are updated frequently but there are always more animals at the shelter than are listed online. Please visit our shelter if you are interested in adopting.

Shelly was found as a stray at "Shell Mart." She is a very good girl that walks well on a leash and knows some basic commands. She is good with other dogs but is not good with cats or small animals. Kilo is a very sweet dog that loves people and is good with other dogs. She is very energetic and playful. Kilo needs a home without cats or other small animals. Tank came to the shelter as a stray with a huge chain bolted around his neck. he is such a nice boy and we can't see why anyone would want to do that to him! Tank love people and loves to ride in the car. Tank is okay with other dogs but he is a young male and can be a little pushy with other male dogs at times but overall he does well. Tank is a big, goofy guy that needs an experienced owner to walk him through the basic manners that he didn't learn as a puppy. He has a great temperament and in the right home he has a ton of potential to grow into an awesome companion. PD came to the shelter as a stray. It appears his previous owner left him chained outside and allowed his collar to grow into his neck then dumped him at the police department one day. PD is doing well healing from his wounds but he will likely always have some degree of scarring because of the severity of his injury. Likely because of his past, PD will need to be the only pet in the home. His neck is still sensitive at times so leash walking will be a slow process from him to get used to. PD has a very fun personality. He loves toys and has lots of energy. He also loves his bed. He will need a patient home that understands the difficult past he has had and is willing to work with him on becoming a "real" dog. Diamond came to the shelter because her owner moved to a place that wouldn't allow a larger dog. Diamond is an active, happy girl. She prefers women over men and when in her kennel she has growled a men but outside her kennel she has been fine. She is good with other dogs. *all animals that are adopted from Clark County Animal Shelter will be up to date with their proper vaccinations and spayed/neuter before going home. This process is generally done once adoption has been approved.
